INTRODUCTION

Single channel analogue to IP encoders are generally used to allow older, standard definition analogue cameras to operate on an IP infrastructure. The VK2-HDA-ENC1 is capable of encoding up to 1080p TVI format cameras as well as standard definition ones. Below are a couple of useful ideas on how you could use this device.

1.  Using the Encoder to overcome the 90m distance restriction on standard IP connections, allowing up to 400m from camera to NVR.

2.   Overcome the problem of High security sites where IP cameras are not allowed on the physical perimeter, as their IP connection could be stolen to gain access to the system.
