When uninstalling qulu using Windows the default behavior of qulu is to leave a few bits of information regarding the user's preferences in Windows in case a user re-installs the software or is upgrading from one version to another.

However, in some cases, users may want to fully remove qulu. Follow the steps below to clear out any qulu remnants from your machine.

Clean uninstall of qulu on Windows:

  1. Using the qulu installer or Windows Control Panel initiate the uninstall process and follow any guidance prompts until complete.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. To remove any remnants of the Server application (other than recorded video files) and Desktop application, delete the following folders:
    C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Vista CCTV
    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Vista CCTV
  4. To remove any recorded video navigate to the storage location you set up for your Server and find the qulu Media folder.

Clean uninstall of Qulu on Ubuntu Linux:

  1. Using the Gdebi Package Installer that was used during the qulu installation process, remove the qulu Server and qulu Desktop packages, and follow any guidance prompts until complete.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. To remove any remnants of the Server application (other than recorded video files) and Desktop application, delete the following folders:
    /opt/vistacctv/
    /home/$USER/.config/'Vista CCTV'/
    /home/$USER/.local/share/'Vista CCTV'/
  4. To remove any recorded video navigate to the storage location you set up for your Server and find the qulu Media folder.

Clean uninstall of qulu on Mac:

  1. Using Finder, delete qulu Desktop from your Mac.
  2. Open Finder and use the search input field to look for the associated files:
      • Vista CCTV
      • qulu
  3. Manually select all the files displayed and send them to the trash.
