How to change HD formats on HDA cameras

All of the cameras within the HDA range are defaulted to TVI in HD mode. If you require AHD format, then you will need to do the following:

This applies to the following cameras:

VFDA28V12HDA-xxx

VVRD28V12MHDAW

VVRD28V12MHDAIRW

VVRD28V12MHDAIRSW

VBC28V12MHDA

VPC-DNHDA

VEFED28V12MHDAW (see section 2)

VFD & VVRD (AW / AIRW / AIRSW)

After removing the bubble and liner and with the Video Out mode switch (SW2) in the HD position, TVI is the default output. If you require AHD, then without the OSD being on, push and hold the joystick to the Left for c.5 secs, this puts the camera into AHD (the camera needs to be powered). The same process should be applied to put back into TVI mode, but by moving the joystick Right.

Note: As the AIRSW has dual BNC outputs, it does not have the Video Out mode switch (SW2) on the PCB

VBC

After removing the cover on the underside of the camera and with the Video Out mode switch (SW2) in the HD position, TVI is the default output. If you require AHD, then without the OSD being on, push and hold the joystick to the Left for c.5 secs, this puts the camera into AHD (the camera needs to be powered). The same process should be applied to put back into TVI mode, but by moving the joystick Right.

Note: This cover is primary seal, failure to replace correctly will result in moisture ingress.

VPC

On the rear of the camera there are tactile buttons, so with Video Out mode switch in the HD position, TVI is the default output. If you require AHD, then without the OSD being on, push and hold the Left Tact button c.5 secs, this puts the camera into AHD (the camera needs to be powered). The same process should be applied to put back into TVI mode, but by pushing the Right Tact button.

With the camera in the above position, remove the cover place and slide the switch to the position / output you require.

Note: This cover is primary seal, failure to replace correctly will result in moisture ingress.
